Hammond Records USA BLACK HAWK Records U.K. Island WI -273 Written by Hammond 1966 Roy has to get married and the bride’s father is administering proceedings from behind with a Shotgun! Real name Roy Charles Hammond Roy first released this single on his own label (Hammond) before getting a distribution deal with Hawk, making the first issues very rare. Three gunshots ring out accompanied by the introduction to the ‘Wedding March’ then tambourine and drums followed rapidly by Roy’s lament, bad news for Roy meant a great dance track for us all at the Wheel.
