Freddy Garrity used to be a milkman in Moston The groups first hit was ‘If You Gotta Make A Fool Of Somebody’ ensuring that USA original artist; James Ray had no chance in the UK. Their follow up hit was ‘I'm Telling You Now’ at the Wheel they did ‘Who Wears Short Shorts’ as Freddie lost his pants leaping up and down and of course they did the song ‘Jimmy Brown’- ‘three church bells, was for baby Jimmy Brown. Then the little congregation, Prayed for guidance from above. Lead us not into temptation, Bless this hour of meditation, etc… Which almost every beat group did at that time. In 64 they had another big hit with ‘I’m Telling You Now’.
