already dancing, many in the Manchester soul
clubs followed Roberts instructions and ‘
kicked off their shoes and danced barefoot
to a dance that couldn’t be beat : they were
Barefootin.
The DJ often turned the vinyl over and the
‘B’ side became just as popular: Lets Go
